First thing I did after installing Linux Mint Felicia RC1

  1. No need to add Mediubuntu repository

    2. [bash]# Mint developers made Mint so its license can be compatible with Mediubuntu packages[/bash]

  2. No need to remove Evolution

    3. [bash]# Mint developers already know that Gmail is all what I need[/bash]

  3. Install extra packages I can’t live without

    4. [bash]sudo apt-get install skype
     gnome-bluetooth
     gnochm
     zekr
     picasa
     amule
     filezilla
     deluge
     googleearth
     opera
     sun-java6-jre
     avidemux[/bash]

  4. Install Tao Vinci extra package so I will look like a real geek

    5. [shell]sudo apt-get install
     nautilus-open-terminal
     terminator
     tilda
     htop
     powertop
     workrave[/bash]

  5. Disable visual effect

    6. [shell]# Mint developers don’t know that a simple desktop environment without any effects is all what I need[/shell]

  6. Configure GNOME Do

    7. [bash]# Enable plugins: Disk mounter, Indexe File & Folder, Indexe FireFox Bookmarks, GNOME Session Management, GNOME Terminal[/bash]
